SPECIAL VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY
CCG Earth Day
SATURDAY, APRIL 19, 2025
Date: Saturday, April 19, 2025
Event Time: 11am-2:30
Location: Compton Community Garden (CCG)
1317 S Long Beach Blvd, Compton, CA 90221
Shift 1: 10:00am-12:30pm
Shift 2: 1:00pm-3:30pm
Duties will include some or all of the following tasks:

Setting up tables, chairs, and equipment
-
potentially passing out merch and giveaway’s
-
Serving food
-
cleanup
-
assist with gardening
Must be 18 years or older
Must complete volunteer application below-pelase be sure to indicate the event and shift you are volunteering (ex: Earth Day, Saturday April 19th Shift 1 10am-12:30pm)
VOLUNTEERS HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO GET 1 FREE PAIR OF LEFTOVER SHOES (while supplies last and if your size is available )
Garden Caretakers
Saturdays 10am-2pm
At least once per month
(1-4 hrs)
We are seeking dedicated and passionate Garden Caretakers to maintain and enhance the beauty of our gardens. The ideal candidate is enthused about the outdoors, a desire to help the community, and knowledge about gardening and willingness to learn. This role will involve working with a variety of plants, fruits, vegetables, herbs, and compost. You will help to ensure that the garden areas remain aesthetically pleasing and well-kept throughout the year, making the garden a peaceful gathering space for the community to enjoy, and harvesting healthy produce.

provide plant care, including watering, fertilizing, pruning, and weeding

beautifying the facilties and garden beds on occasion

Photographers
Saturdays 10am-2pm
At least once per month
(1-4 hrs)
We are looking for creative and skilled Photographers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for visual storytelling, a keen eye for detail, and the technical expertise to produce high-quality images. Whether capturing classes, volunteer days, or events, you will play an essential role in bringing our visual content to life and available for our social media content.
